Ms. David was so thankful to share recent classroom collaborations that brought vibrant new life to the Mural Mix-Up Courtyard. This unique space has become a hub of creativity and expression for St. Croix Educational Complex High School's community, fostering a sense of connection and well-being through art.
On April 18, 2024, Ms. Cleone Lynch's English class gathered in room C103 with Ms. Danica David's Advanced Art students. Ms. Lynch's students could paint in the courtyard or create art in the classroom. The students who chose the courtyard used expressive shapes and symbols to develop unified murals, transforming the space into a dynamic gallery. The others who worked in the classroom continued to foster this unity in the classroom by creating individual therapeutic artwork.
A few days later, on April 24, 2024, Mrs. Crystal Nakay's French class also joined Ms. David's class and added their personal touch to the courtyard and individual expressive art in the classroom. Mrs. Nakay's students created colorful, uninhibited murals. Their contributions also enhanced the courtyard's visual appeal.
