
Eight SCECHS art students submitted artwork to this year's Congressional Art Competition. Zanyja Rodriguez an 11th grader and president of the National Art Honor Society and SCEC Art Club won first place. His artwork will be displayed in Washington, DC for a year. He will also win a free trip to D. C..
Alicea Burke, Denier Geraldo- Polanco, and Jahleel Smith in Ms. David's Advanced Art class also submitted artwork. Zakiyah Encarnacion, Isolde Belle-Diaz, Rey Belardo, and Grace Martin members of the National Art Honor Society / SCEC Art Club also submitted artwork.

2nd Place: “Study of St. Sebastien” —Sy Sebastien, Peter Gruber International Academy, ST
3rd Place: “That of Which is Incomplete” —Dylan Henderson, Good Hope Country Day School, STX
